Promoting Enduring Peace is striving to become a major portal to peace, social justice and environmental movements around the world to further help join those working towards a better world.

 






United for Peace and Justice http://unitedforpeace.org/ UFPJ  serve as  a network  of hundreds of peace and justice organizations around the US and world.  Together they are working to end war and oppression, shift resources toward human needs, protect the environment and promote sustainable alternatives.  Their long-term goal is to grow a culture of justice, peace, equality, cooperation and respect.

The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) http://afsc.org/about is a Quaker organization that includes people of various faiths who are committed to social justice, peace and humanitarian service. Our work is based on the principles of the Religious Society of Friends, the belief in the worth of every person, and faith in the power of love to overcome violence and injustice.

Amnesty International http://www.amnestyusa.org is a global movement of people fighting injustice and promoting human rights. They work to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied. Currently the world’s largest grassroots human rights organization, they investigate and expose abuses, educate and mobilize the public, and help transform societies to create a safer, more just world.  They received the Nobel Peace Prize for their life-saving work.

The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven http://www.cfgnh.org/tabid/36/default.aspx is a philanthropic institution that was established in 1928 through a bequest. For more than 80 years, thousands of donors have built the community endowment by establishing permanent funds or making gifts to existing funds that distribute grants. These donors, past and present, make their gifts to ensure that programs and causes that matter most to them will be supported today and forever.

The Foundation is among the oldest and largest of more than 825 community foundations in the United States and remains the largest grantmaker in a region of twenty-towns located in the heart of central Connecticut.

War Resisters League http://www.warresisters.org The United States’ oldest secular pacifist organization, the War Resisters League has been resisting war at home and war abroad since 1923. Our work for nonviolent revolution has spanned decades and has been shaped by the new visions and strategies of each generation’s peacemakers.

The World Peace Council ( WPC) http://www.wpc-in.org is an anti-imperialist, democratic, independent and non-aligned international movement of mass action. It is an integral part of the world peace movement and acts in cooperation with other international and national movements. The WPC is the largest International Peace structure, based in more than 100 countries.

CODEPINK http://www.codepink.org is a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end U.S. funded wars and occupations, to challenge militarism globally, and to redirect our resources into health care, education, green jobs and other life-affirming activities.

Food Not Bombs http://www.foodnotbombs.net/ shares free vegan and vegetarian meals with the hungry in over 1,000 cities around the world to protest war, poverty and the destruction of the environment. With over a billion people going hungry each day how can we spend another dollar on war?

The Human Rights Campaign http://www.hrc.org is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality. By inspiring and engaging all Americans, HRC strives to end discrimination against LGBT citizens and realize a nation that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all.
